This consultation is run by TheFlywheel. It collects public input on exam reforms. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Your responses — the answers you submit to consultation questions, and messages you send if you use the chat, voice, WhatsApp or Telegram channels.
- Optional context you choose to give — such as age group and district or state. You are not required to provide these.
- Voice recordings and their transcripts, if you respond by voice or phone.
- Technical records — a submission identifier, timestamps, and request logs used to operate and debug the service.
We do not ask for your name, address, or government identifiers. Please avoid including personal details in free-text answers.
Why we process it
To collect, moderate and analyse public feedback on exam reforms, and to produce aggregate findings. Published analysis is aggregated and is not intended to identify individuals.
Automated processing
Submissions pass through automated moderation and language models that help transcribe, classify and summarise responses. Automated redaction is applied to reduce personal details in stored text, but it cannot be guaranteed to catch everything.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of service providers strictly to operate this consultation: a speech and language processing provider (Sarvam AI) for voice transcription, a language-model provider for chat and summarisation, a content-moderation service, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and WhatsApp (Meta) and Telegram where you choose those channels. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on infrastructure we control. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention
Responses are kept for as long as needed for the consultation and the analysis arising from it, after which they are deleted or irreversibly aggregated. You may request deletion at any time before then.

You can request a copy of what you submitted, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. See data deletion instructions, or write to us at the address below.
